FORE Partnership has delivered some of the most sustainable buildings in the UK. Our sustainability goals are not limited to building re-use but extend through all elements of the design and operation of the building in order to achieve a building that is net zero in operational carbon, fossil fuel free, and defines the very highest sustainability standards.

Building design and construction
We will improve the sustainability and energy efficiency of the building. Our design principles are to retain, refurbish and recycle where possible. We will refurbish first and only replace or add if there is a carbon or design benefit.

Building operations
We are focusing on implementing energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives and improve the EPC rating with an aspirational target of A from the current rating of E.

We have new mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design to achieve the highest building and operational carbon targets.

We will target the highest sustainability accreditation including BREEAM outstanding and WELL platinum.

Active travel
In line with the sustainability agenda, we will encourage active travel by providing additional secure bike storage facilities. Our activated ground floor will enhance the pedestrian experience of the building.

Biodiversity & greenery
Our proposals include a landscaped pocket park on the ground floor with public links to the existing podium park. Our aspiration for the space is to increase biodiversity and greenery on the site. Green walls and biodiverse elements such as woodland style planting and a variety of trees will bring life and vibrancy to the building. The roof extension will also be activated and its look and feel improved by significant greening.
